Working with Mass General Brigham
Mass General Brigham supports the research activities at our member hospitals. In this shared services model, the research support offices facilitate the administrative, financial, and regulatory requirements of research and sponsored projects that are received by our member institutions, including the following primary research member and affiliated institutions:

The Mass General Brigham Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) operate in compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines pertaining to IRBs as listed below, and with the Federalwide Assurance (FWA) and incorporated “Terms of the Federalwide Assurance for Institutions within the United States” held by Mass General Brigham.

Multiple Mass General Brigham offices review and execute research agreements on behalf of the hospitals, and issue outgoing research agreements to all types of entities. The offices are identified below with a brief summary of the agreement types reviewed and services provided by each.
Only authorized signatories, a Mass General Brigham official, or an Senior Vice President of research for the applicable hospital, have the authority to execute research agreements on behalf of the hospitals. Principals Investigators are not authorized as institutional signing officials.
